A few days ago, I got a message some someone looking for this fic. It was previously up on Azkaban's Lair, which sadly is gone from the intarwebz.

Since I didn't have it archived really anywhere else, I'm posting it here for y'all. So [livejournal.com profile] hogwartshussy, this is for you!

Title: Puppy Love 1/1 (A sick ficlet)
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: SB/RL
Disclaimer: I won’t make any money off this (I hope) and the characters belong to JKR (please forgive me for what I’ve done to them)
Archive: Go right ahead, but let me know
Notes: A few days before I wrote this someone asked (sorry, I don’t remember who) why people always cast Remus as the “girl.” For some reason, that little comment inspired in me the image of Sirius in a dog collar….hence this PWP.
Notes continued: Explicit BDSM, lots of references to bestiality. “If we offend, it is with good will.”
Feedback: Sure.

While ago, I had a conversation in [livejournal.com profile] _slugclub about a Dumbledore/Fudge vignette that I wrote many years ago. I went on a brief foray to figure out where I had posted that, back in August 2003, but couldn't find it.

But earlier this week, I had to extract some files from my ancient and really, really mostly-dead laptop (it was a job). And I found some (but not all) of my old posted HP fic, including the one I'd been talking about with [livejournal.com profile] purplefluffycat.

So at the risk of exposing y'all to some old crack, herewith I present a one-shot cookie:

Reading an article as part of a lit review for a grant application, I came across this:

The root word het' appears 595 times in the Hebrew Bible, more than four times more often than its nearest synonym. While this word is usually translated into English simply as "sin," its oldest meaning--a meaning that has parallels in other ancient Near Eastern cultures--is to "miss the mark," like an archer who takes aim at a target and misses it, or a traveler who misses the correct turn. Het' is also used to describe breaches of social ethics, as when someone misses an opportunity to assist another.

Yeah. I know that's not what the author means, but I totally went there.

Fic post!

About three weeks ago I mentioned pouring out some reactionary fic about Remus at the end of OotP.

Well, I've re-read it and it's come back from one of my two editors and it apparently doesn't suck, so I'm posting it in order to get it out there before Friday's event.

I originally called this "Stone Soup," which I thought was a crap title, and a trifle too obscure.

Title:The Fall that Kills You
Rating: PG-13, possibly even PG
Summary: Two perspectives: Remus's reaction in the cleanup of events at the Ministry, and Snape's unusual discovery a couple days later.
Disclaimer: No copyright infringement intended.
Author's Notes: I feel fairly certain that these guys are more mine than JKR's at this point, anyway. The fissure between the books and my private universe grows ever wider....
Archive: Drop me a line first, but be my guest.
Wordcount: 3220
