Title: Five Times Dean Didn’t Do What Was Asked of Him (1/1)
Author:
gwendolyngrace
Rating: Gen with some het; PG-13 for swearing, sexual situations, and violence
Summary: 1988; 1992; 1995; 2007; 2008
Wordcount: 8,890
Spoilers: General through all aired episodes, specifically Something Wicked, In My Time of Dying, Croatoan, Born Under a Bad Sign, All Hell Breaks Loose, Pt. 2, Malleus Malleficarum, and Jus in Bello.
Disclaimer: Still not mine. Dammit.
Author’s notes: This started as a little Something Wicked and Croatoan coda, and it sat around for a long time until I could come up with a fifth thing I liked. Last week’s episode shook loose the cobwebs. And thanks to the awesome betas,
etakyma and
relli86, I can post this in honor of Jensen Ackles’s birthday.
( Five Times Dean Didn’t Do What Was Asked of Him )
Additional notes: In the episode (Something Wicked), Dean is playing AndoDunos. However, AndroDunos didn’t come out until 1992, three/four years after the incident is supposed to have taken place. (What’s more, it’s highly unlikely that a crappy motel in small-town Wisconsin would have even purchased a brand-new video game even when it did come out, making this continuity error as much as seven years out of date.) For the purposes of this story (and restoring the time continuum), I’ve decided that Dean’s flashback error is due to his own faulty memory, and really he was playing an arcade game that was available in 1988.
