Dad Update

Dad was admitted to Rochester General Hospital around 12:30 am on 2/23. He's on heparin (probably prophylactic) and an IV diet while they try to find out what's going on with him. Meanwhile, his official diagnosis is "fever of unknown origin."

They're referring him to Infectious Disease and I hope this means they'll get some answers.

Spam day

Just got back from lunch with jiggery_pokery. Had a lovely time!

Chris, getting back turned out to be dead easy. I went down the staircase where we parted company and lo, there was a platform where people were waiting for buses! There was a sign on another stair leading down, that read "Waverly/Watertown buses." I followed down the rabbit-hole to... another platform!

Had only been there a couple seconds when a bus pulled up. I hopped on, and it emerged right at the place where the bus I'd ridden down had disappeared (after I'd got off it, that is). Turns out the street is still two-way right up to the bus depot entrance. And we were going the right way to get back to work! Five minutes later, I'm snug back at my desk.

Now, if only I'd remembered to pick up the Accounts Payable check I ordered (while I was still outside), I'd be all set.

Oh, well. I'll pick it up later, when I feel like taking another walk.

Anyway, it was great to see you, Chris! I agree, though: Next time, we'll have to get more people all together at once. Hm. Wonder what movies will be playing in late April. Or maybe I'll be able to hold my housewarming by then....
