So, the 4th season of Supernatural and I have not really been getting along. I know there was a wee!chester episode recently, but I haven't even seen that. I'm about 7 episodes behind and maybe I'll get caught up during this hiatus, but honestly I have not been feeling the love.

erinrua, who wrote me this amazing fic in response to my prompt (and dedicated it as a belated birthday present for me). Go read it - it's awesome with a side of awesome fries and a coke.

The prompt I gave her (which is also the summary) was: Teen!chesters (or Sam is a teen and Dean is 20-21), shopping for firearms? Or how about...Dean is secretly writing reviews for either "American Rifleman" or "Guns and Ammo" as an income source, and Sam finds out? Light on angst, please!
And that's just what she did. But better.
Now. I am reading John Winchester's Journal (when I can avoid tossing it across the room) and y'all know In the Hunt is coming out, and our friendsdodger_winslow and charis_kalos are among the selected winners (go, ladies!), so there's that to look forward to and (we hope) inspire some meta.
But even if I just have fic like this? I can be content with SPN.
