Spoke too soon....
Sep. 9th, 2004 12:49 amSo, apparently, moments after talking to me this afternoon and acting like everything was fine, my new boss went downstairs to the Kelly coordinator and fired me.
I'm supposed to call her in the morning and find out WTF! and I'll have to tell her where/what my personal items are so she can get them back to me. I guess they'll disable my ID, but I wonder if they want it back....
So far, the only thing I know is that he told her it was a "poor cultural fit" - but I think that's bullshit for "She's smarter than I am", since well, I've only been there two weeks, and *he's* only been in the office for four days of that.
I say again: What the Fuck?
More details once I've called Kathy at Kelly.
Anyone know of people hiring in the Boston area?

Date: 2004-09-09 06:59 am (UTC)Sorry, I have huge problems with the fact that this way of firing or laying off people is a-okay in the business world. Because, y'know, it's not. They don't want their employees to lie to them, but it's okay for the employers to lie to the employees. Oooo, it makes my blood boil.
I'm sorry about this and all. Not cool, man, not cool.
