Oh, my God...is that Gwen?
Nov. 18th, 2004 11:28 amYes. I have *really* not been around LiveJournal in any meaningful way for months and months, and particularly since about, oh, September. And I can't guarantee that I'll be around in a meaningful way, either - for any appreciable length of time.
But things are looking up - I HAVE A JOB!
I've been hired by the Chair of Quality Operations at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Yay, me! I'll be performing her Executive Assistant functions, but also serving as a Quality Coordinator - sort of the job I was supposed to have gotten when I was working for Dr. Panzer at Strong, only it devolved into just the Executive Assistant stuff. I'm so excited!
The job starts just after I get back from Thanksgiving in Baltimore, which is simply *perfect* timing. Only one more week without income! Hoorah. And benefits apparently kick in immediately, no probationary period, so that also means: HEALTH INSURANCE. Whee.
Speaking of which, must fetch renewed prescriptions this afternoon. Yipe.
So, anyway, I'm sorry I disappeared into the woodwork - I don't know how often I'll realistically be around, with work and doing more theatre (I hope) - I was in Lost in Yonkers in Wellesely last weekend and it went very well - but at least I am about to rejoin the ranks of the employed and solvent. Bwahahahahahahahah.
Next step: apartment-hunting. Any suggestions for affordable housing between Cambridge and Framingham? Favourite real-estate sites?
