Shoppin an'at

I had to go to Macy's to continue the perfume saga (small progress forward, but still no resolution: I got the number of a regional Dior rep....), and I figured I'd pay my Penney's bill while at the mall. I also needed some girl-things, and figured I'd take advantage of both stores' sales.
Well, I started by going to the wrong mall. I keep forgetting that the only Penney's nearby is Natick (argh), so when I pulled into the parking lot at Burlington and remembered, I pulled right back out again and headed south. Whoops. But I got there, parked at Penney's and immediately came face-to-face with amazingly cute Hello Kitty slippers. And a coordinating shower wrap. SOFT! CUTE! On SALE. I kinda wish I'd had the shower wrap two weeks ago, for sarong hour. But next year? HEE. It's so comfy. I hemmed over the bootie slippers, but ultimately went and got them too, along with a few frillies, because there are times in life when a girl just needs some cute undies. I did not buy the exceptionally lovely lacy pants from Victoria's Secret, because $10/pair is, um, No. But I did pay a little more than I would have at Target. With the Macy's sale I got four bras for less than $50, and although she tried to open an account for a further 20% discount, it's unclear whether I qualified or whether their system was just messed up. But if the discount comes through, then I will have got them for less than $40. So between that and the stuff at Penney's it was a little more than I should have spent, but - well, yeah. I'm materialistic. It gave me a boost. And I was good and have downgraded about as many pairs of underwear as I bought, so I no longer have holes in my undies.
Then today I sat in for Heidi on an interview, which I can't talk about in detail, and re-aired / finished drying the tent, the canopy and the groundcloth, and then got them put away in the basement along with the tent poles.
I need to invest in a tucker tote. The old tent bag she is DED. I don't know why things can't last! That bag was only about 45 years old. Seriously. But I can do that whenever. Oh, and I will need to run some seam sealer over the tent next spring. It's on the to-do list.
I still have laundry to do, and dishes. But right now I'm going to sweat for a little bit.
Oh! And I roasted corn with my broiler last night! I'm SMRT. It was yummy.
