OKAY, it's official: Carry On is the end-of-season recap music. Does that mean it's the official theme song?

Immediately, I started saying, "Dream." Poor Dean and his nightmares. Of course, when you fall asleep over a book with a picture of a hellhound, what do you expect?

Okay, so they take off and I immediately thought, "WHY is the taillight busticated?"

And then when they passed the cop, my hand *literally* jumped to my mouth. Oh, SHOW. I was like, "Oh, gods, NO, they're dead, they have to stay dead!"

Dean. Dean with police. Even before we knew it was not a real cop. I'm loving this side of Dean. ETA: just watched it again and realized that he hadn't properly looked at cop and then immediately saw that there was something wrong. Still. Gotta be a glimpse of how he was.

Now I really want both "Dean and Sam singing in the car as teens" fic (or singing in the car to drive John crazy fic) and "Dean gets pulled over" fics. In abundance.

Hey - the grandfather is the senator from the West Wing, btw, the one who filibustered in the first (?) season. The heck was his name? Clearly it's been too long since I watched WW. But that's him. ETA: Stackhouse. And I think he was a congressman.

Oh, and Sam is Asbestos. Does this mean that if he'd stayed at the police station in Monument, the others would not have died? etakyma says no, he wasn't desperate enough at that time to have flipped his on switch. Plus this time, Lilith was specifically targetting him, instead of a general blast, and so she thinks it was partly instinct - Sam wasn't in control and it happened in self-preservation.

I blame eloise_bright but I wrote some John/Mary het. And it's VERY NC-17. And I just had another plot bunny attack that picks up on something John told Dean about in Trost und Freude from when he was three and Mary was pregnant with Sam. So there will be that.

And of course, Big Bang.

But now, I must pack for war practice. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe! SHOW.

Tell me about it - my adrenaline got me until past 1:00 AM packing and running around.... I barely registered the TV (although I managed to pay attention during the important bits of Step It Up and Dance by the end of the second time through....)

And I woke up at 5:51 (9 minutes ahead of my usual time) on the DOT without my alarm clock. Knot in stomach decidedly in place. Go me!

That was about 70 minutes after the first viewing, and believe me there was some flailing.

My arms were tense, my hands would not leave my mouth, and my heart was pounding through pretty much most of the episode.

I just watched it again, and it's just as rocktastic.

I was in tears for a long time. I couldn't sleep, all I kept thinking about was poor Dean. Sam holding his big bro. Dean in hell screaming for his little bro. Then I was crying all over again.
