Omigosh, thank you so, so much for this amazingly nice review!
I am really quite proud of this fic. For something that took all of about half an hour to outline, it came together so impossibly well that I swear it was one of those time when I know I wasn't making it up, someone was communicating the truth of it to me. I am still a little astounded at how long it took to tell a basically simple story, but I'm not sure what I would have cut.
(Actually, I *did* cut a few things that devolved into meta and weren't really adding anything. For example, John's German is not so much from high school (despite what he told the boys) but from a German grandmother who taught him a smattering of it. But that didn't fit in the story, so out it went. Ah, editing.)
But anyway, I still have a huge amount of squee when I think about this fic. It's one of those things that pretty much never got stuck, only once did I have a doubt about what to write next or where to go with something, and when I found my way out of those little minor corners, the answers were right there and fit so well, that I swear I could not have planned it better.
It's also really dense, if I do say so myself. As you said, there's just a LOT that went into this, and in fact, even more came out of it. (Fifty Percent (http://gwendolyngrace.livejournal.com/104106.html) came out of this as a prequel.
I still have a lot to say about the Winchesters--and the Wee!Chesters, but this one is definitely one of my favorite things I've ever written.

So I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it!
