In my case at least, a Facebook "Happy Birthday" comes with absolutely no requirement of reciprocation. Some people are birthday-wishers on FB, some aren't. I don't track who wished me happy birthday and make a point of remembering theirs. That's why Facebook tells me when it's someone's birthday. And if I don't check FB on someone's birthday, then darn, I miss it, oh well. I also don't really notice when someone doesn't wish me a happy birthday. In fact, if I wasn't looking it up just to make a point, I wouldn't have noticed or remembered that my own brother and mom didn't post a happy birthday on my wall. Don't feel lame, feel good about the fact that you've got a buncha friends who like you enough to notice hey, it's Gwen's birthday, I'm gonna go post on her wall.

Way too much commentary, but I felt compelled to comment since I of course went and friended you on FB and added to the birthday wishes because I am a FB birthday wisher. :)
