Thanks! I figure he probably read certain books to Sam so often growing up that there have to be some kids' cultural references he gets....
And yeah, I personally am very happy with Dean's moment of pride at looking up and seeing Sam the ugly duckling hunter, and Sam getting cut by how happy Dean is, because he doesn't quite get it.
