I really do think that it's much easier for Dean to behave in a childlike manner. He is very "in the moment" where Sam tends to focus on the intellectual and he dwells on what he doesn't have. Plus, I figure he's so big that kids would either love him or fear him...and in this case, fear is just funnier!
