Weekend Update....
1. Joel's post. Not much more to add to it.
2. Theatre - "A Little Night Music" was very well done, especially considering the Vokes stage is wee. I've never seen it staged before and the story wasn't as "morally bankrupt" as some of my more stodgy acquaintances have led me to believe. I mean, really: everyone winds up with the people with whom they should wind up! One thing I thought was interesting is that Petra's 11:00 number "The Miller's Son" - which is SUCH a great song - really comes completely out of nowhere. Oh, well. Anyway, our girls were fabulous and the guy paying Frederick was great, the guy playing Fred (the servant) was hilarious and *always* interesting to watch, no matter what was going on. And it turned out I knew the gent playing Carl Magnus, too - Craig, from Weston Friendly, so it was lovely to see him and he did very well.
3. Red Sox. Hm. Well, I'm glad they won. They're supposed to be at Fenway between 3 and 4 this afternoon. Guess I'm going to wait for a 47 up to Central Square instead of going to Kenmore.
4. Rehearsals - Still going. Our Maxine fails at memorization and sometimes reading comprehension, but I gave her a line reading last night that at least fixed one line that was bugging the hell out of me. Here's a test, kids:
[Poll #1079307]
5. The fic I've been busting my hump to get done in time for my end-of-October deadline is done and with the betas. Yay! Should be no trouble to read through it one more time tonight while I'm home and get it posted. W00t - go me.
Okay. Must dash.

My condolences. I wish I could say something more than you and Joel are in my thoughts.

Top Five Reasons Why Not:
5. It was cold last night
4. I had rehearsal
3. Fenway is a long way from where I live and where I had rehearsal
2. Dude, I take the T enough and pass Fenway enough (on the way to work) as it is.
1. Baseball? That's the one with the diamond-shaped field, right?
;^D
