Sometimes Close Counts...sorta
They've announced the winners on Supernatural.tv... and I was selected as a finalist!
I don't win the $ (which is fine), and I won't get my essay published in the book, but I get a copy, and my essay will be posted on the site sometime between now and the book release.
w00t.
And the best part is, all the meta!
Congrats to
charis_kalos and the other winners and all the other finalists!

Your essay was a good read - they'd have been silly not to reward it. :)

And thanks again SO MUCH for your help. Crikey.
I need a drink. Is it time for cocktails yet? It's 8:00 AM here in Boston.... that's a good time to hit the hard stuff, right?

My advice? Go back to bed! LOL

You're right, too: the best part is the wonderful surfeit of meta to which we can all look forward. Tasty!
The funniest thing is that the finalists' essays may actually wind up getting more readers than the winners in the book, since the finalists are going up on the 'net ... *grin*

It's true! But to be perfectly honest, I had planned to post my essay, win or lose, at least to this journal (and x-post to heavymeta, etc.).
I think ironically,
But this is cool, too.
I confess I am *really* curious as to how many submissions overall were received, though.
Nonetheless, we rock. And there can never be too much meta out there.
