I stayed up late to read this straight through and I'm glad I did. I really liked this story, and I like your John, even though he's not the John we see later. I can see his conflicts as a parent and hunter, and I can see the beginning of Sam's rebellious streak and how John really *tried* to work with and around it. I also like how Dean is just such a *boy* in this. Sammy is still figuring himself out, but Dean is so responsible already.

This was wonderfully well-written and very engaging. I really enjoyed reading it!
