I think it's not so much being close to the new book as being far from the old books. I think this sort of upset would have taken place about now (or earlier...and it has) becuase we have all run out of things to say so we maybe are picking up more on that which bugs us, rather than discussing that which fascinated us for so long.

What I hope happens is that the new book will refresh most of us and bring us back to why we are here in the first place.

What I hope doesn't happen is that everyone ends up pissed off at each other just before Nimbus. We've waited so long to all get together...I hope we still like each other when we do.
