I'm sorry to hear about Joel's cat(and of course his mother). Please tell him I feel for him--I've been there. Losing a fur friend is never easy.

I'm glad that the trip wasn't all bad and that you're safely back in Rochacha. I hope the interview goes well. Know that I'm thinking of you and wishing good things for you in the new year.
