I should know better....
Than to post about an audition process while I'm in the middle of it.
I'll be extremely surprised if I'm offered a role in that production. I know I've said it before but I really HATE being brought to a callback and then made the also-ran of the bunch. There was one person whom the director seemed clearly to favour, but they kept a bunch of people after only a couple readings (and dance) and let all the rest of us go.
So that'll be it for that - since if I'm going to be in a non-leading role, it'll be with Wellesley, thanks, not Concord.
In other EXCITING news, I spun out my car on the way there. No real damage and I'm FINE. I was on the exit ramp from 128 to route 2, which is a clockwise clover leaf that also goes uphill. The road must have been *just* slick enough, because the moment I touched the brake to keep from accelerating out of the curve, I spun. The front bumper scraped the guardrail as I turned almost 360 (probably about 300 all told), and the front license plate and license plate frame are crumpled almost in half. That's it. No other trouble. Well, I need to check the tires. It doesn't help that I had to skid to a stop on the way home, too, when a light change caught me by surprise. But dang. I was really expecting something to be scratched, broken, dented, etc. Nope.
I love my Ashley, but honey, it's time to get the heck rid of this car.
