Title: A Loaded God Complex
Author: [livejournal.com profile] gwendolyngrace
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] dodger_winslow
Rating: R
Author’s Notes: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] erinrua for the gun-fu advice and general beta of awesome, as well as my regular beta [livejournal.com profile] etakyma, who is made of win. Crenshaw Middle School is fictional; loosely based on Willis Jr. High School. Title is from Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down” – yeah, yeah, I know. But I’m familiar with the a capella version.
Summary: The demon-worshipping cult that John has been tracking chooses Sam’s Middle School as their target. But John doesn’t know that there’s already another investigator on the case. Medium crossover (but pre-series, so not necessary to know anything about Medium).
Genre: Gen
Characters: Dean, Sam, John, Lee Scanlon (Medium), multiple OC’s
Wordcount: 21,940
Disclaimer: Soooo not mine. Dammit.

Mother's Day )
gwendolyngrace: (Wee! Winchesters)
Fic title: Fifty Percent
Author name: [livejournal.com profile] gwendolyngrace
Artist name: [livejournal.com profile] sazzlette
Genre: (rps, wincest, het, gen) Gen / Het
Pairing: John/OFC
Rating: R
Word Count: 46,450, Posted in 5 1/2 parts
Warnings/Spoilers: (if applicable) Told in two eras: 2007 and 1989. The 2007 storyline is set between “Bad Day at Black Rock” and “Sin City”; the flashback sequence references “Something Wicked.”
Summary: While cleaning out John’s storage locker, Sam finds an envelope from his father addressed to someone from their past. Dean objects to delivering it, but Sam happens upon a hunt that takes them practically to her doorstep. Could they be demons released when the Gate opened? In 1989, shortly after the shtriga hunt, the Winchesters settle in small-town Ohio while John figures out whether or not he can keep hunting. Beverly Kirkland, the children’s librarian, meets the boys and their father. After a chance encounter with John, she reluctantly grows closer to him, all the while wondering what it is about the family that doesn’t quite add up….
Author’s Notes: So many things about this, but I don’t want to give stuff away. Right. Well, first off, I had this in my head long before “Supernatural: Rising Son” came out, and before I found out that Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Mary-Louise Parker were a couple (and then they broke up before I finished drafting this). The idea came up while I was writing Trost und Freude for a holiday exchange - but takes place *before* that in the Wee!chester timeline. I’m very grateful to [livejournal.com profile] sazzlette for her art of awesome (10 sketches, count'em OMG! - AND a music mix!), [livejournal.com profile] etakyma for her unfailing willingness to read what I’ve written and tell me how to fix it, [livejournal.com profile] july_july_july for her incredibly insightful beta-reading, and Wikipedia for lots of helpful information, ranging from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles to the names of Kansas Governors to facts (and missing information) about our MOTW.

gwendolyngrace: (Adorable Dean)
Title: Contract to Expand
Author: [livejournal.com profile] gwendolyngrace
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen, Pre-Series (pre-fire)
Characters: Mary, John, Dean
Summary: February 1983: Mary’s on medical bed-rest; Dean’s been sick and can’t sleep; and John would give anything to be able to lie down.
Warnings: A little schmoopy, but it’s pre-fire, so that’s allowed, right?
Wordcount: 2,300 on the nose
Disclaimer: Characters belong to the WB/CW and Eric Kripke. See all the money I don’t make doing this?
Author’s Notes: This plot bunny sprang from John’s anecdote during Dean’s illness in Trost und Freude. Harley the imaginary friend came about while I was working on a ficlet requested by [livejournal.com profile] charlie_jae. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] charis_kalos for the beta.

John could expect to get up at least twice more before morning. )

Author: Gwendolyn Grace
Rating: G
Genre: Gen, pre-series, Wee!Chesters, humour
Characters: Sam (age 3), John, Pastor Jim, Kurt (OIC - Original Imaginary Character)
Summary/Prompt: John’s first thought when Dean told him that Sam had an imaginary friend was... that's nice... his next thought was... Christ, I really hope it really is just imaginary. June 1986.
Warnings: Cuteness of the Wee!Sam variety.
Wordcount: 1,620
Disclaimer: Harley and Kurt are mine. No one else. Dangit.
Author’s Notes: Back when [livejournal.com profile] wee_chesters hit 100 members, I offered ficlets based on a prompt from the 99th, 100th, and 101st users. This was [livejournal.com profile] charlie_jae’s prompt choice. I’m sorry it took so long to get to it. Hope it was worth the wait.

Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] celtic_cookie
Request terms: Sam and Dean of course, and I love John: Lots of John! A Pre-series Christmas Story! Familial bonding, maybe a holiday-themed hunt?
Summary: Saginaw, Michigan, 1990: Going holiday shopping may hold more hazards than just the insane crowds and parents hell-bent on the buying the latest toy. John goes undercover to look into a series of accidents at the local mall. Meanwhile, Dean and Sam respond to Christmas-season festivities at school with unexpected results.
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen

Wordcount (total): 75,100
Spoilers: All three seasons through 3x08, may or may not be Origins-compliant
Disclaimer: No copyright infringement intended, not mine, just my fantasy.
Author’s Notes: Done! Done, done, done! I think the only person who’s happier than I am is my beta of awesomesauce. (Seriously, gang, she did a little happy dance in her comments on the last chapter: “la, la, la,” I was told. But she still re-read this chapter about six times to fix all the things that were nagging at her.) So here it is, complete and DONE. Now I can concentrate on my Big Bang fic. Oy!

Oh, and a little warning: there’s an image in this file that may not be friendly to dial-up users. My undying gratitude to etakyma for the use of her digital camera. Please don’t overanalyze the handwriting! It’s not very good.

Author’s Notes: Sorry for the delay on this, but between travel and life…it just took a little longer than I hoped. However, Chapter 17 should be right behind this one to wrap up all the loose ends. This chapter has a little something for everyone, I think: a little angst, a little action, and a few moments you’ve been waiting for. Author’s Notes: So, if there were any doubt about this week’s “Monday Meta” over at wee_chesters, I hope that this chapter settles it: April Fool’s, gang. Not about this chapter—about that meta. No, I don’t really hate John. I try to portray him in a fair and balanced way. He’s far from perfect, but he did love Dean and Sam and he tried to bring them up the best way he could think to do. Which included some decidedly weird decisions. ;^D Also, I’ll be representing the anti-John side of the debate at EyeCon this weekend, so I have been needing to let my “John Hate” come out a little more than usual. But no, I really do generally like John, I just want to smack him occasionally. Luckily, I’m not alone, as Ellen and Bobby will prove during this chapter. Oh, and by the way? If the previous chapter was sparse before the beta got it? This one? Was almost pure dialogue. Yay for the beta, because she reminds me that in fictional narrative, stage directions and line readings are Good Things ™. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] etakyma!

Author’s Notes: This week has been a doozy, and I have SO MUCH to do before the end of the next week, but hey, I have my priorities straight! [livejournal.com profile] etakyma keeps reminding me that this is not a dialogue-fic and therefore I do need to include physical descriptions during those long stretches of conversation. I'm not sure about the EyeCon finish line, with so much to do, but I'll try to keep it moving.
